Diary WW1: Darius

LI – To retell an event in history through the fictional eyes of someone who was there.

On the first week of term two Mrs Anderson’s group for reading have been looking at the events that took place at ANZAC Cove on 25 April 1915, during WW1. Some NZ soldiers were wounded or killed in action.

We looked at some videos of life in the trenches, and explored the Walking with ANZACs site and had a look at Hami Grace’s diary. Doing this helped us put our own diary together.

Then we used Google Vids to record our diary that we wrote before.

I enjoyed using this as it allowed me to share my ideas and learn more about the war. And something U found interesting was how I got the chance to have a look at Hami Grace’s diary.
